On this page, as time allows, I will tell the story of the years in the 1970s when I
lived in London, worked on an offshore oil rig in the North Sea halfway between Scotland and Norway, and discovered one of
the enduring loves of my life, Queens Park Rangers Football Club.
The pictures below are of me by the banks of the Thames in 1973, wearing a QPR shirt,
and as a watchstander on board the Sedneth 701 in the North Sea in 1974.
