WILL YOU TELL ME

Words and music by Lachlan Irvine

[C][F][C][Am][F][G][C]/

Will you [C] tell me I'm the [F] only one for [C] you
Will you [C] say nobody [F] else will ever [G] do
That's [F] all I need to [G] hear, all my [C] cares will disap-[Am]-pear
If you [F] tell me I'm the [G] only one for [C] you

I [C] never needed [F] anyone be-[C]-fore
I've [C] always been the [F] one who knows the [G] score
Love [F] cut me down to [G] size when it [C] opened up my [Am] eyes
Now I [F] need you by my [G] side for ever [C] more [C7]

[F] Everybody is [C] searching
To [F] find a love that's [C] true
I [F] never knew what I was [C] looking for
Till the [D7] day that I found [G] you [G7]

Will you [C] say the words I [F] need to hear you [C] say
My [C] love is yours for-[F]-ever and a [G] day
If you [F] let me stick a-[G]-round I won't [C] ever let you [Am] down
So please [F] say the words I [G] need to hear you [C] say

Will you [C] tell me what I [F] really need to [C] know
Let's [C] give our love a [F] chance to grow and [G] grow
[F] Life could be so [G] fine if you [C] say that you'll be [Am] mine
So please [F] tell me what I [G] really need to [C] know [Am]
Will you [F] say the words I [G] need to hear you [C] say [Am]
[F] Tell me I'm the [G] only one for [C] you [Am]
Oh please [F] tell me I'm the [G] only one for [C] you.

This is my attempt to write a teenage pop song in the style of the Beatles. All of their early hits spoke directly to their audience, using personal pronouns in their titles, such as: Love Me Do, Please Please Me, From Me To You, She Loves You.
